Hi dear TE friends
NOTE: I do not understand why the quality of the photos posted in the TE, are different in "beta" and the new site. In my opinion in "beta" pictures are better quality.The differences are more visible in Mozilla Firefox!Why?

Place : Evoramonte

Theme: (Trip) Portugal,on North of Alentejo (II)

The city was conquered from the Arabs in 1160. At its highest point stands Évoramonte Castle, built in the 14th century on the ruins of a Moorish predecessor and rebuilt after an earthquake in 1531. The building is encircled by ropes which form knots in the centre of the facade.

The Paço (Palace) of Evoramonte, that is in the middle of the castle walls,may have an odd aspect, but to see an even stranger look from the air, please click, zoom in and see the location in WikiMapia: 38.7718312, -7.7160341

Is a lovely village situated in the Estremoz department, in the vast Alentejo region, inside defensive walls, in a very peaceful area. The region presents vestiges of ancient human occupation since the Paleolithic Period (30 000 to 10 000 b.C.).

I don't use the beta version and now I see your photo in the beta version and I miss it.
Also, I cannot see any difference but I can see a very nice and elegant work.

Este castelo é muito bonito , tem um desenho de muralhas único , gostei muito do contraste entre o azul e amarelo ,em questão a tua pergunta não sei a resposta ,eu uso o Mozilla a muito tempo, parabéns!!

Olá Filipe,
um castelo muito bonito esse mesmo, só não gostei da antena descaracterizando completamente a contrução. Gostei das cores e da qualidade de sua captura, e quanto ás versões do TE, aidna uso a versão beta e o Mozilla Firefox 3.5.3, e não coneguiu notar nenhuma diferença entre as duas versões, ainda mais porque usam o mesmo arquivo, basta fazer o download das duas versões...

Olá Filipe,

Bela tomada deste castelo tão original, que confesso que não sabia que também se chamava de palácio. Nem sempre é fácil dar com uma compo agradável quando parece não haver muito a escolher, como aqui, ainda para mais com pessoínhas a vaguear, mas aqui fizeste um bom trabalho.

Só há uns 3 ou 4 meses fui ver de perto este monumento, que conheço de o ver ao longe desde miúdo. Tenho por aí umas "horas azuis" que por enquanto só pus no Panoramio.

Hi Filipe, I do not know what is difference. I just use all the time the beta version, only for uploading and editing I have to change for the new site. Beautiful castle, it has funny details like ribbons. But i do not like this trident on the top.

Hola Filipe.
I don't use the "beta" TE, and the truth is don't know if there is any difference between the two. What I'm using now and this is since my recent trip, is to place my Nikon camera if you want photos with vivid colors, or more vivid colors or stronger colors, or less color, etc. I think this is helping me not use PP in my latest photos exhibited in TE.
Your photo is very good with good color, detail and sharpness. Very good composition and good work.

l'immagine del castello è molto particolare e la deformazione prospettica ne accentua l'impatto visivo con il cielo blu dello sfondo.

a beautiful image with a good perspective due to the staircase that goes to the castle. The colors are nice and well saturated. Unfortunately, that ugly antenna disturbs the beauty of architecture, but it's not your fault. Congratulations!

Olá Filipe. O pov baixo fica muito bem nesta bela estrutura. Eu teria tirado a antena mas bem vista a coisa, ela até se assemelha a um tridente e por isso não fica mal de todo :). As cores estão bem bonitas especialmente o céu bem polarizado. As escadas guiam-nos à entrada e as pessoas mostram o realtamanho do edifício. Um bom trabalho. Abraço. Paulo

Una impresionante fortaleza, me gusta la captura desde abajo, estupendos estos colores tan vivos, la calidad es optima. Conozco Evora pero no conocia esta fortaleza que supongo cercana, es sumamente interesante, lastima de la antena de telecomunicaciones o lo que sea, las ponen en cualquier sitio.

Está uma foto linda. O céu está excelente.
Só é mesmo pena que haja "iluminados" que não percebam que este não é o melhor local para colocar as antenas.

This is indeed a peculiar building. Verry intersting architecture with the 'ropes'. This summer we visit Arraiolos and from there we could spot this fort. Realy a strategic point.

very interesting architecture, really hard to choose a good POV here I guess because it is so symmetric, no clouds etc.
You did a great job though. The colors are fantastic and they enhance the presentation very much. The guy in the red T-shirt contrasts nicely with the polarized sky.

muito boa a foto, gosto deste ponto de vista que faz o castelo parecer ainda mais grandioso e bonito. perfeita a luz e a nitidez. uma pena que as pessoas tenham deixado instalar aquela feia antena junto ao castelo, penso que o cenário medieval merecia mais respeito
