Tree Parade 08 - II Photo

Photographer’s Note

After the Tree Parade 2007, schools from the whole country have participated once more, this time with 178 trees. The challenge was to paint them in an original way and respecting the theme: "The forest and its resources". After being in Lisbon, Oporto and Coimbra, the exhibition could finally be seen in Evora. There, the trees could be found all over the city, especially in the historical centre. This is a photo I took near the Temple of Diana.

Estas árvores dão mesmo muita cor à praça em frente à Pousada, que por sua vez é muito bonita e muito boa/cara (fala a experiência!!!).
Tens uma bonita composição e aquelas pessoas dão uma ideia exacta da dimensão do local.

Ah ,Ana, I recognize the environmental trees, and the make a bright picture here against the classical architecture behind.Again you have your signature Portuguese pristine white and deep blue sky. It's an attractive image. regards kevin

Está bem gira, Anabela. Isto é que é um jardim original que anima qualquer praça de centro histórico. A foto já estaria boa mesmo sem as árvores. Bom enquadramento para a Igreja lá atrás e excelente timming para as duas pessoas que são um excelente bónus. Gosto de ver as chaminés a espreitar à esquerda.

the trees look like big mushrooms, as those grow in forests a pleasant impression. Well presented before the church with light and definition. A warm capture.

I was in Evora many years ago before the advent of digital cameras, and the church looks familiar but not the artwork in the foreground. Beautiful sky, the scene is sharp, and with effective exposure. Greetings! Danilo

É uma ideia bem gira, que dá um toque engraçado e colorido à praça e, por tabela, à foto. Como o Ricardo diz, parece-me que o enquadramento está tão bem que resultaria mesmo sem as "árvrenzinhas". Gosto da presença do casal e da luz e cores bem fortes do nosso verão.

Gosto do colorido que estas arvores criam na frente da foto e do impacto que elas criam em contraste com o fundo mais dominado pelos tons brancos.
Gosto ainda da igreja a aparecer por detrás de toda esta cena principal com os toques de amarelo a ladear a fachada e janela.

The white church is there, but this time the focus is on the trees, so nicely made by the children. But still the white church with yellow trim against the clear blue sky presents an excellent backdrop. Exposure is very well handled on the white, especially because the light is so bright. Fine work Ana!

Hello Ana, when I looked at I thought they were mushrooms but your note explains it all. Thank you.
The trees are interesting & the church is also very beautiful. A very clear & colourful shot captured in very fine detail. The people are a very good inclusion adding not only scale but life.

Excelente nitidez e bonitas cores. Gosto do alinhamento das "árvores" com a pousada atrás.
Estas parecem mais pequenas, ou pelo menos são de outro formato que as de 2007.

ficaram legais estes "cogumelos" coloridos junto a esta arquitetura bem conhecida de évora, bem colocadas as esculturas, boa a luz, pov e personagens, saudades de évora
