Hi dear TE friends

I did a trip in the Evora city in a rainy day. The man are waiting his wife after enjoy an orange...
He was not too worried if the rain to wet him...

Évora is a city and a municipality in Portugal. The city proper has 41,159 inhabitants, and the municipality has a total area of 1,307.0 km² with a population of 55,619 inhabitants. It is the seat of the district of Évora and capital of the Alentejo region. The municipality is composed of 19 civil parishes, and is located in the District of Évora.

The present Mayor is José Ernesto Oliveira of the Socialist Party. The municipal holiday is June 29.

Évora is ranked number 3 in the Portuguese most livable cities survey of living conditions published yearly by Expresso. It was ranked first in a study concerning competitiveness of the 18 Portuguese district capitals, according to a 2006 study made by Minho University economic researchers.

Due to its well-preserved old town centre, still partially enclosed by medieval walls, and a large number of monuments dating from various historical periods, including a Roman Temple, Évora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Évora is the chief city of the Alentejo region, and plays a role as an important agricultural and services center. It is home to several institutions with great importance for the region, like the state-run University of Évora and district hospital. Évora has tried to develop the aerospace sector, and expects soon Embraer industrial facilities.

Olà Aires,

The desicive moment very well collcetd. The red colors of the pull and of the ombrella arise very well in the image. Good POV too. A different view of this famous and very nice city.

Olá Amigo,

realmente um óptimo apanhado. Retrata muito bem a falta de civismo por parte de muitos portugueses no que respeita à limpeza e a não atirar lixo para o chão. Eu sei que as cascas são biodegradaveis e podem servir de e"alimento" para a terra, mas não teria custado nada telas colocado ao menos no pé da árvore! Quanto à fotografia em si, ficou mesmo muito bonita, já que o casaco do Sr. condiz perfeitamente com o guarda-chuva. Aliás o Chapéu que ele traz também. Muito pitoresco....

Olá Aires,
Uma boa tomada, interessante como o vermelho se destaca neste ambiente grisalho. Apesar de quase não podermos ver o rosto do senhor, o ângulo usado deixa perceber uma fisionomia atenta e sorridente que me faz supor que a sua mulher já vinha lá ;-)
Se fosse em minha cidade natal (Belo Horizonte), não seria uma boa idéia ficar debaixo de uma árvore em tempos de chuva (grande risco de raios).

what a nice contrast of the man with his red umbrella sitting under the rain in contrast with the whole pale in colours environment.I like the scenery as that not exist passing by people in the scene.Well done.

bem interessante mesmo esse senhor com a sombrinha, e custei pra enteder que tem uma poça d´água no meio da praça e da foto, passou uma impressão estranha de desfoque a princípio. Gostei.

Bonita mostra do cotidiano que mostra o Senhor, calmamente sentado, com sua sobrinha e parece que ele estava comendo alguma fruta, pois as cascas estão em baixo do banco. O vermelho da sombrinha e do casaco fizeram ótimos contrastes. Abraço, Consuelo
