Photographer’s Note

In the center of the city, the square is where King Duarte built the Estaus Palace which even today maintains its Gothic look, the fountain and St Anton's church are from the 16th century.

Very nice and varied composition. You really do have a great and deep DOF thanks to the high f-number. Interesting approach but I think it has paid off. The sky looks particularly magnificent.

700 fotos, que marca hein, to longe disso ainda... Gostei dessa foto, a Igreja tem uma arquitetura bem similar as do Brasil, e ficou interessante a senhora a andar na praça. Belo trabalho amigo, e continue assim.

Congratulations for reaching 700 images. It's a big milestone. It is a wonderful scene in the town square with some beautiful architecture. You have captured a very relaxed atmosphere with the people under umbrellas in the cafés. I think the sky appears to be very cyan, so I hope you don't mind that I tried a WS.

Bom dia Gonçalo, apanhaste um dia de nuvens que favorece esta foto, especialmente na zona por cima da igreja. Além disso acho que a combinação do amarelo da praça com o azul do céu é muito atraente. Boa diagonal e captura do ambiente humano. Parece que a senhora aqui à frente ficou com dúvidas de repente, confusa com o facto de estares a clicar :)))))

Y la foto es magnífica, tiene un buen encuadre y un ángulo abierto que dan una gran profundidad a la imagen, una luz muy agradable y unos colores vivos y bien saturados.
Esta plaza es muy bonita, me gusta su ambiente con las terrazas y su fantástica arquitectura.

Uma captura que mostra além da histórica arquitetura, mostra também o lado cotidiano do lugar, com a movimentação das pessoas pela praça neste dia ensolarado. Parabéns atrasados pelo 700º post! É um número muito respeitável!

Não é preciso falar da beleza singela dessa praça, que é uma espécie de Rossio alentejano. O PdV de vista foi bem escolhido e a vida está muito bem registada, com um toque de humor dado pela senhora, que realmente parece estar indecisa para onde ir ou o que fazer.

O dia ensolarado era óptimo para as cores, mas se não fosse o PP apurado, acho que as sombras estragariam tudo. Apesar de parecer ligeiramente escura, acho que é um bom compromisso para ter as sombras razoavelmente expostas e um excelente contraste ao mesmo tempo.

Your composition and POV are great here. The angle of the shot works well giving the photo a nice sense of depth and direction. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The people give the scene a sense of scale.
