Perfectly small Photo

Photographer’s Note

I was driving on the highway, returning to Lisbon from an assigment in the south, when I spot this lonely tree. Has I was bored from driving for hours, I pulled over by the road and started shooting. This is like a postcard from Alentejo, a very dry region in Portugal, it's the kind of scene almost everybody has in their minds when spoken about Alentejo. It's a very magical region.

Simple and effective, reminds me of a recent picture by Carlos. Outstanding composition, nice texture. I would have used a polarizer in this case. If it hade made the picture better, I don't know...

Great composition, nice curves and colors, maybe I would have crop just a bit of the sky over the highest cloud, but it isa very minor, very well done.

Simple but excellent composition! The colors are so bright. The curves of the field are well framed. The contrast between the sky and the field is striking. Nice idea to include the lonely tree. Well done!

Astonishing picture with a high geometrical aspect with this nice curve playing its frontier role between the two strong colours of this composition. The tree very well placed in the frame is another strong point of this picture. Very well done !

Very nice composition and soft tones. To me it´s just a little bit underexposed maybe and it would have been nice to add more contrast, but it´s a personal opinion.

Very well spotted Miquel - And I can fully relate to your story - I often "have to" take a rest when I spot a shot - Too bad I sometimes must let a good motif pass by.

La verdad es que he mirado las fotos de tu galeria y son todas excelentes pero esta me llamo la atención por su composición simple pero hermosa. Formas suaves y sencillas para una composición un poco minimalista y excelente.

Linda foto com um título que muito me lembrou o verso de Camões sobre este bicho da terra tão pequeno... Acho que você, também, os teve presentes.
