Photographer’s Note
Taken in the Portuguese village of Mertola, which is in central Portugal. The whitewashed buildings and bright yellow trim is typical of the style of houses from Portugal. It's really colourful, I love it. This huge phoenix palm cast a lovely shadow on the door of Number 10. It looks like a giant pineapple.

Hello Karen. An interesting picture. It works like a photographic still life. The composition is classical. An exemplary study from forms, lines and graphic structures. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hi Karen,
Nicely captured. Now my suggestion would be to take that shot from a bit lower height (getting down on the knee, maybe) to have the whole tree in the frame.
Together with the shadow it would look terrific.
Well done,
Kind regards,
Michal
