Little Church of Sao Marcos Photo

Photographer’s Note

I had thought about not posting it because the light is not good, it should have been taken much later than it was.
This is a little church situated in the village of São Marcos, several kilometres far from Castro Verde. It's a good example of a rural church. It's situated in the village and it's baroque style but the facade has an original popular decoration that I wanted to show.
I'll try to take a better one when I pass there by the end of the day.

Me encantan sobre todo los colores y su contraste. La iglesia es realmente bonita.
Quizá hubiera suprimido las casas de la derecha, bueno, es mi opinión.

Good contrast to show the white church against the blue sky, not easy to manage the white color, you had do it well, good pov to show also houses with antenna at roof top beside the church, thanks for sharing.

Ana, você bem que poderia fazer um livro de fotos de igrejas, pois a quantidade, a diversidade e a qualidade dessas imagens são suficientes para tanto. Esta é mais uma ótima captura. Interessante notar que é comum que as fotos não tenham gente no enquadramento. Será que as igrejas andam esvaziando?

I wonder how you get those stunning blue skys Ana. I suppose you use a polarizing filter and you have the fortune to be in Portugal. These amazing blues, against the white buildings are part of the 'personality' or your pictures. I like the way this one is composed with the building breaking the sky with such a strong shape. With difficult contrast, you have managed to expose it beautifully. regards kevin

Olá Anabela,
not easy to write.. Sharpness, subject, colours - this all is well done. I think the POV with the light is responsible for that as I have the impression that the church is a bit pressed together from the top. I made a short run for the little distortion by the perspective here, but that is not the solution. I have not found any words from the other TE-members about this impression, but I can't help, I have this impression.

Parece-me que não houve problema algum nos ajustes de luzes aqui. Ao contrário, propiciou cores bem resolvidas e bonitas. Interessangte aqui é que parece que o relógio foi colocado alí muito tempo depois.

Oi Ana muito bonita esta igreja está muito bem cuidada toda pintada de branco com aqueles desenhos a azul os bancos de jardim de cada lado mais as larajeiras , até o ceu condiz com o azul da igreja, parabens!!!

Hi Ana,
Well composed and the light is just fine, with superb contrast of the facade against the blue sky. The buildings on the left help balance the frame, though the little satellite dish is a little incongruous. The architecture of this little church is impressive, and you captured great clarity of detail. I like it.

What a simple architecture, but so beautiful! The pristine blue sky offers a lovely backdrop. I admire your exposure control as it would have been so easy to blow out the white. The details are lovely with the bell tower, the clock & the blue linings above the door. The lane on the left with the houses lining on the other side provides depth. Very good shot Ana.
