Photographer’s Note

This is one of the doorways that lead to the little Chapel of Our Lady of Aracelis. Aracelis mean something like altar of the sky. This is one of the most important chapels in the region. It was built in the 18th, in a year Our Lady answered to the prayers of the people who asked desperatly for rain. Since then, this chapel is quite connected to the rain. Every year in September there's a feast and people ask for it. Around the chapel you'll find some engraved stones offered by the farmers -we must not forget this is really a hot and dry region and when it doesn't rain enough things are not really easy.
Situated on the top of a hill, this is also an ideal place for birdwatching.
I must say I was really upset this time I was there.I had planned to take photos of this chapel for so long and when I reached it I saw the light conditions were not really good. The photos are not really good but I wanted to post this anyway.
