Photographer's Note
Ancient Roman city called Vipasca, and later called Al-lustre by the Arabs, which was conquered in 1234 and called Aljustrel. In the past two centuries, the mining extraction activity involved completely this whole region, molding him the habits and traditions and being the engine of the economy in the region.
Aljustrel, land of miners is a municipality in the District of Beja, located in the heart of the Alentejo region with two hills, a Valley, houses arranged in terraces and a landscape of plain losing sight.
