Arriving to Silves, a photo from Algarve, South

Photographer's Note

La plus belle manière d'arriver à Sives et sans doute d'emprunter le vieux pont (aujourd'hui piétonnier) qui enjambe le Rio Arade .
Etablie au coeur d'une vallée fertile , cette petite ville , ancienne capitale de l'Algarve au temps de la domination arabe , est très visitée par les touristes . Elle ne manque pas d'intérêt , avec ses typiques ruelles pavées qui grimpent vers la cathédrale (construite sur le site d'une mosquée) et la forteresse de grès rouge (datant essentiellement de l'époque maure) .

Tu as un don pour attirer les fantastiques lumières et les ciels d'anthologie! Je ne parle même pas de ton sens de la composition! Accessoirement, il faut avouer que ce village est très beau.

Bonjour Denis,

A very pretty countryside, accessed nicely by the well positioned bridge, which takes a diagonal line in your shot. The f/g details are pleasingly textured and you have delivered a good dof for the enjoyment of the viewers.

Bon angle pour donner une composition intéressante avec ce pont en avant plan, le contraste de lumière ente le blanc du pont et ce ciel encombré de nuages est photogénique et bien géré.

a lesson in enticing composition this. Who would not want to go over the bridge and wander in the beautiful streets and castle beyond. Executed flawlessly this is a quality image and presentation. Wonderful!

Bonjour Denis,
Il faut être au Portugal pour voir des ponts blanchis. Le point de vue et le cadrage sont encore artistiquement trouvés et utilisés. Le ciel superbe met en valeur la lumière sur les toits et les façades. Les couleurs, la netteté et la profondeur sont excellentes. Bravo.

The skewd angel on town and bridge in scene, gave an excelent depth in pic., Denis.
The white bridge prominently in contrast with the red roof-tops, and light upon them gave extra enhancement with the clouds aloft.
Fine POV chosen, well taken image.

bridges are such a wonderful subject!
this one is fantastic, and waiting to capture it with a white skyline is perfect as it compliments the bridge face.
its such a welcoming lead-in for the viewer.
