Photographer's Note
The most significant in Sagres is the landscape and the Fortress. It Dates back to the 15th century, and successively has been rebuilt and repaired in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Adjoined be former batteries that defended the beaches of Tonel and Mareta.
It was once one of the most important places. Built in the 15th century, it was at least as important during the Age of Discovery as the US Cape Canaveral was during the early years of space exploration
