Attablés dans un petit restaurant d'Odiaxere , cette cheminée blanche dans le ciel bleu a attiré notre regard .
Elle est typique de l'architecture de l'Algarve . La fumée s'échappe par des interstices , ici en forme de rosace . Le sommet conique ou pyramidal est parfois surmonté d'un élément décoratif , comme ici , une belle colombe .

Hello Denis,

I remember having seen chimneys like this in the Algarve. Somebody told us that the idea for the small holes is to allow the smoke to go out but not to allow evil spirits to come into the house! I wonder if that is true?

This is a beautifully simple shot with fabulous contrast between the white chimney and the deep blue sky. The red roof tiles add nicely to the composition. Wonderful details and sharpness, glorious colours and perfect exposure.

Bonjour Denis,
une composition magnifique basée sur la cheminée blanche et son fort contraste avec le ciel profond bleu et avec les tuiles rouges, que tu as captées au moyen d'un cadrage serré très bien choisi.
Une image avec une grande netteté et des belles couleurs, avec un haut niveau esthétique.

A marvellous warm cold colour contrast between the red tile roof & blue sky with the superb lighting revealing all the textural & tonal nuances on the sculpture topped by a stone dove. Good sharpness & saturation. Tfs!
