Paraguaçu, is the name of the boat, means “immense sea “(it was the name of India Tupinambá ) and intends to honor the pioneers navigators (Pedro Ávares Cabral, in particular), but also the 90 years of the first aerial crossing of the South Atlantic, completed in 1922 by the aviators Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral, as well as the Brazilian people, below extend a hug narrowed with the desire to see relations between the two peoples brothers. The route (reconstitutes the aircraft ' Santa Cruz ') will be made paddling lonely, between Green and Marrocos,ilhas Canárias island, Cape Verde and Natal in Brazil, a length of about 5,000 km of ocean. The expected duration is 110 days with the departure of Lagos in Portugal by road on February 24, 2013 bound aTarfaya in Morocco, where begins this Odyssey on February 28, 2013
The man who will row between Morocco and Brazil is José Diogo Giraldes Tavares (licensed in Management companies): organizational development consultant; on tourist and Sport adventure animation since 1994.
