Situado na Serra do Caramulo, o Caramulo foi, em tempos, uma importante estância sanatorial para o tratamento pulmonar, existindo, na época, 20 sanatórios e um bloco operatório.
Hoje, parte desses sanatórios, foram reconvertidos, tendo sido um deles num importante hotel de 4 estrelas.
Situated in the Mountain Range of Caramulo, the Caramulo was an important sanatorium center for pulmonary treatment, having 20 sanatoriums and a cirurgy block.
Today some of those sanatoriums were converted for other uses, having one of them been converted in an important 4 stars hotel.
