Little Rural Houses Photo

Photographer’s Note

Tday I'm changing the region and the colour of the houses. During a long walk of almost 20kms in the fields of Carregal do Sal, I found these two little houses in the village of Travanca de São Tomé. I can say I discover new things each time I go to these area. This is a region of granite. These houses are very typical in this region and they're usually used as a support for agriculture. These two, like many others in the region are made of granite and built on granite. This is the view we have when we pass there. I like them also because of the colour of the door.

Bonita essas casinhas de pedras e interessante essa imagem por trás das casas! Em São Thomé das Letras, Minas Gerais, também tem um monte de casinhas de pedras também, coincidência o fato e o nome das cidades!!!

Hola Anabela.
Debe de ser muy cansado vivir en esas casas, pues hay que subir mucha cuesta. En España, estas son las cabañas que usan los pastores y agricultores para meter los aperos de labranza. Me gusta el tipo de construcción de piedra sobre piedra sin ningún tipo de cemento ni argamasa. La arquitectura de antiguamente, que sigui viva a través de estas muestras. Un abrazo.

I see the door is tiny, and cute.
I would like to see less the big rock becuse is a big distractor of the houses, but this style is interesting I like it.

Sencilla y bonita composición de esas casas encima de las rocas sobre un cielo intensamente azul, y aparte del cielo, la nota de color la ponen la puerta y esas pequeñas florecillas en las piedras.

Wonderful looking structures Anabella, that look like they are growing organically out of the landscape. I wonder how old they are; they look so ancient. You seem to have a rich stock of interesting and historic structures in Portugal. regards kevin

casas de rocha sobre rochas! Interessante tema. Aliás as casas são muito bonitas. O detalhe da portinha vermelha ficou bom. Talvez se você tirasse outras de outros ângulos, penso que teria outros bons resultados.
