Photographer’s Note
I am posting this one mostly for the sake of the TE motto ("learning about the world through photography"), because this little town of the Northern Portugal isn't represented yet here (the existing posts were taken outside the town).
I know nothing about this strange building which style isn't a so rare vision in Portugal.
It is on what looks like the main square, in front of a small park, opposite of the Town Hall. I am relegating the photo of these to WS because its sharpness and light aren't good.
São Pedro do Sul is the siege of a municipality located in a quite scenic hilly and verdant region famous for the thermal resort that has its name.
Location (latitude, longitude): 40.7622,-8.0622

Hello Jose,
A surrealistic construction! Well captured in this fitting central and frontal view.

Bon weekend
Amicalement

Dag Jose,
I do like this unexpected and very imaginative solution of expanding an old building with a very modern solution.
The colours and the proportion of the rectangles are adjust to each other. The rest is totally different. A thrilling choice of the architect.

Hi José. This is an unusual blend of old and new styles, almost like they added a whole new building to the back of an existing one. Well captured with good symmetry and detail. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good Sunday, Paul.

Thanks for this picture of the blend of different architectural styles.
I guess the architect(s) wanted to provoke discussions about it. Anyway this building doesn't remain unnoticed.
I wish I could also have a look at it from the left or from the right side.
Best regards, Paul

Hello José,
Indeed here we can learn through photography.
Extraordinarily architecture through the combination between the different architecture subjects.
The horizontal composition, what you here have built, a meticulously perfect picture.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice sunday,
John

Cumprimentos,
Francisco

Hello Jose,
Good contrast between old and new, good discover on it at a quite town, unique foreground old style building in flat roof top, attractive two potted plants on the flat roof top, the little trees at both sides of staircase create good balancing of symmetry too, tidy shoot to show it, well done.

Hi Jose,
This building is maybe a little bizzare, but this is one of most creative architectonic ideas, I saw!
Thank you for sharing this very inspiring image.
Architect here had a really free mind!
Greetings from Dublin!

Bonjour Jose!
Amicalement.
Marie Louise.

Hello Jose
you're so right, TE is all about learning about other countries and about photography itself.
This post, certainly does that!
One of the more interesting scenes i've seen in a while.
Seem so out of place.
The photo itself is very clear and sharp.
Well done!
Craig
