The North of Portugal looks quite diferent from the rest of the country - partially alpine regions, but at least hills, curved roads, forests, lakes - a real contrast to the mediterenean South. And at the time when I was there, also the weather was pretty unpleasant, rain, hailstorms, finally snow - in Portugal, in June...
But since I had snow in California in September many years ago I got used to bad weather during my holidays.

why? it's not a bad one, even if you do not have sunshine on the fine landscape, maybe not according to the Portuguese standards, here a nice lake, a nice foreground field, some mountains...

Wow Johannes,
how come people missed this amazing shot! I simply love the atmosphere and silver colouring all over the image. I cannot explain but it is hypnotical for me. Gray sky reflecting in still water makes all the difference in contrast to yellow dry vegetation. They both create a harmonic suite of marvelous ambient. It is fantastic! I wish I could give it more that 2 ppoints.
