Photographer’s Note

Sanctum do Sacred Heart of Jesús de Santa Luzia - The Sanctum do Sacred Heart of Jesús de Santa Luzia is placed in the high zone of Saint's Monte Luzia, to scarce kilometers of the center of the population, and to him it is possible to gain access in car or in teleférico.

From his Roman - Byzantine architecture he emphasizes the monumental stairs that he leads to the temple and the beautiful dome that stands out of the mount visible from all the surroundings.
The basilica was construída in the início do XXth century copied of Sacré Couer of Montmartre, in Paris.

From the sanctum there are observed a few wonderful sights of the Vale of the Lim, of the Atlantic Ocean, of the river Lima and of the city.

La arquitectura es muy interesante pero a mi no me recuerda al Sacre Coeur de Montmartre. Me gustan las tres imagenes, muy buena luz, excelente contraste de colores y grande nitidez.

Hello Charo,
I'm suprised to see Byzantine monuments as far away as in Portugal. This one looks fairly impressive-well worth a visit. I would have moved a bit to the right to hide the modern building behind the church. Regards,

good POV showing the column and this chruch, excellent contrast and wonderful blue sky. The second workshop with more green is also very appealing. I like the high visibility of the texture of stones here.

Preciosa arquitectura que la realzas con el fuerte color azul del cielo detras del santuario, esta excelente composicion tiene mucho que ver con tu POV, tiene muy buenos detalles y definicion, Las tres fotos estan estupendas captadas con muy buenos colores y un juego de luz y sombras.

how funny, I just wrote a critique 2 pictures ago for someone with the same motive. A different angle and a different composition. Wonderful to see all the white details of the building against the deep blue sky. Placing that column at the left is a good compisitional detail.

Viana do Castelo é muito bonita e principalmente este local de Santa Luzia com esta majestoso Santuário. Elementos de arquitectura muito belos a vista panorâmica deste local é magnifica, boas cores.
