Photographer’s Note
Arcos de Valdevez is a charming old town situated in the Northwest of Portugal embedded in history all around.
Not sure, of the feelings that this photo causes but I hope you like it if not feel free to say...
Taken at the end (you can see the hour in the church clock) of another raining day during a 15 min break with a ND8 filter, that is why the frozen effect on the agitated waters of the Vez River.
I guess that this was one of those days that all the adversities were gathered in order to difficult the work of the photographer in the aim to take a decent photo.
I posted this same photo yesterday but I did not like some of the artifacts due to the PP and I have removed it.
PP: Some adjustments with shadows and highlights sharpen and level balance.

David,
Nice long exposure! I like the effect the exposure has on the river giving it motion and volume. Your composition is great, I appreciate the river in the foreground leading the eye to the village. Nice photo for such adverse conditions.

Hi David,
Very nice shot. Beautiful colours and nice contrast between the water and the background.
I intend to visit the region next summer and I will certainly visit this place.
