Port the second bigger city of Portugal
The origins of the urban center of the city of the Port, date of the old age of bronze, approximately eight centuries a.C.. Since the beginning, the povoamento daily pay - historical it had important commercial linkings with the basin of the Mediterranean. During the occupation Roman, the city already was composed for impressive buildings and controlled an important road net between Lisbon and Braga. The city, later, was called, first of Is silent later and of Portucale, from where it derived the Portugal name.
