1993 captured in Porto, scanned and some PP work

Port Wine is produced in the Demarcated Region of the Douro under very specific conditions. Port Wine is a fortified wine, whose making differs from the methods used for table wines painly because it is left to ferment and the macerate for a very short period of time (2 to 3 days). Furthermore, the addition of brandy has to respect certain rules that have been fine-tuned over the years by tradition and practice.

Hello Achim,

Nice daily life image with the fronts of the houses in background.
The boat in foreground is the real eye catcher, through the advertisement of the sail.
A good glass wine of porto is very pleasant for to drink.
Composition is very well taken. TFS.

Hallo Achim,
Schon lange nicht gesehen und gehoert !
Die bunten Fassaden am Hintegrund sind eine Augenweide; mit ihren schrillen Farben und unendlich vielen Variationen.
Alleine eien Aufnahme mit "nur" diesen Fassaden waere eine tolle Kompo gewesen.
Interessante Informationen.

Hallo Achim,
this old photo preserves a good quality of image in spite of the passage of time.
Its 18 years almost are not perceptible in the scanned one.
It is a nice scene in which you have combined the traditional boat with the barrels of wine, and the old architecture of the city in the shore of the river.
I like the good graphical effect that you have obtained.

Hi Achim,

The distance between the boat and the buildings is giving depth to the composition. The point of vciew is showing the details and colors of the boat and of the buildings. The presence of the clothings drying on the balcony is showing a daily life activity. Have a nice day.

An interesting view of the "rabelo" boat, wich used to transport the wine barrels. The houses make a perfect background to the scene.

Hello Achim,
I like the clarity and the composition of this picture as well as its theme, the interesting lived-in buildings and the boat beneath them. I also like the mosaic of colours and architectural details and I'm intrigued by a colour thread that unites the various components of this view: the burgundy colour that appears repeatedly in the picture from top to bottom. Lovely!

Old photo, so the colours are a bit fade, but nice view from the old houses of Porto and of course very attractive the boat. Nice composition. Haha, always some loundry under the windows. With the contenst of the boat I am not interested :).

this is a very pleasant view, and a very good vertical composition :)
I like the diagonal line which is formed by the sail of the boat and the highest part of the building in the top right corner.
