Photographer’s Note

Second photo on my 'World Heritage Backyards' series.
Still behind the main streets and riverside, I'm attracted by the different atmosphere we can 'breed' from it, the light coming from the top, the person's behaviour, it seems liike a new different world inside the big city.
Maybe some might find the coulourful facades at riverside and the agitation their but if you give these backyards a try you'll see that you won't give your time as wasted.

The color in most of your photos has the first role!Strong saturated colors gives power to the scenery.From very good point straight to your subject.Very lively one!

i once visited Lisboa and discovered a beautiful town and met friendly and generous people ; your pictures are like that !

Such strong use of colours and paint on the buildings. It is bold and impressive. The height of the the buildings is also noteworthy and unusual. A very interesting picture - well done Paulo!

les couluers intenses sont souvent les caractéristiques de tes photos. Tu as l'art je pense, de les faire ressortir sans toutefois les pousser trop loin.
Un cadrage efficace qui renforce l'impression d'étroitesse de la rue.
Les lumières sont parfaites.

As cores fortemente saturadas já são habituais nas tuas fotos, uma imagem de 'marca'.
Gosto desta perspectiva da zona historica do Porto, bons detalhes e definicao.

Bom dia Paulo, parece-me que aquele tipo lá atrás acabou de vir de um mergulho na ribeira ;-) O que mais me espanta nesta imagem são as cores, que quase me fazem lembrar a Índia - só as cores claro, porque tudo o resto...Até este motão vermelho ficou bem, pois além de contrastar bem com a arquitectura, enriquece o teu 1º plano e dialoga com o vermelho das fachadas lá em cima. E armando-me em Jerzy, claro que isto não tinha a mesma força, sem aqueles dois a vir ao teu encontro. Na realidade têm um ar suspeito, na procura de um canto clandestino de venda de algo ilegal... ;-)

Gosto mais desta do que da anterior - se bem que a composição da anterior fosse muito boa. Aqui as pessoas veêm-se melhor e isso ajuda a criar ambiente. Gostei.

el color intenso de estas casas, la esquina de esta callejuela, la gente, la moto roja y las persianas nuevas en las ventanas, son elementos que dan un fuerte grafismo y un gran interés visual a tu composición.
Es una foto muy bien vista y bien realizada.

Se não indicasses a localização da foto não chegava lá, diria que seria num país longínquo.O trabalho de pp em saturação(?)enriqueceu a composição.A presença humana empresta dinamismo e vida a este local que para mim é muito sombrio ao natural.

As cores dos prédios ficaram muito boas, mesmo parecendo ser um ambiente escuro, gostei da Vespa também, faz tempo que não vejo uma moto dessas!

Love the strong colours. Also interesting is the architecture & construction of the building..looks like fabricated structure sitting on top of the old building & in contrasting red. The red scooter and the people add to the image. Well done with the compo. done with the walls of the three buildings to give an impression of closed space.

Interesting to see details from the back streets, often that is where the real life happens!
Strong colours and a good point of view makes an attractive composition, where the human factor is well taken care of...
