Photographer’s Note

This is the area in Porto called “Ribeira”. Old buildings, painted and/or covered with colorful tiles, clothes drying outside the windows and balconies, restaurants and cafes along the street and, of course, signs of modern technology, this case a parabolic TV dish.

In my opinion, Ribeira is the most beautiful neighborhood in Porto, with lots of charisma, a special way of life and, most important of all, an extraordinary people.

Olá António,
Concordo contigo, acerca da Ribeira ser o mais bonito do Porto. Pela data, parece-me que vieste cá no Natal passado aproveitaste para tirar esta foto. Boa composição vertical, mostrando a beleza destas fachadas em contraste com o atraente céu azul. Muitos detalhes interessantes para observar - a antena parabólica destoa um bocado, mas não muito.

Concordo inteiramente consigo quando diz que a Ribeira é um dos locais com mais carisma no Porto. Quanto à foto apesar de ter um angulo bastante apertado ilustra bem o colorido e singularidade das casas da Ribeira. As cores estão muito boas assim como os detalhes e definição da imagem.

Esta é uma fachada tipica da Ribeira, na linda cidade do Porto.
Azulejos coloridos, vazos com flores, roupas dependuradas... muito bonito.

I like very much this kind of shot Antonio. It says a lot about daily life in a place. It has very nice graphical qualities with the lines and patterns and it is also bursting with colour. My compliments.

The colours reminds me of Burano, but it has one thing better - texture
