Photographer's Note

View of the Pombal castle. It is a Templar castle which was built in the XIIth century by Gualdim Pais (First Great Master of the Templar Order in Portugal) to protect (with others castles) Coimbra against Moorish attacks. Fortunately... or not, it was never attack by them. But it was partially destroyed an burned by the napoleonic armies in 1811. It remains ruins with some interesting elements.
