Photographer's Note

The Cabril Dam on the rio ZÍzere is one of the largest Portuguese dams and leads one of the largest freshwater reserves of the country, is situated in a Valley covered with eucalyptus and pines, through which flows the River ZÍzere. Enjoys wide view over the landscape greenery around and has a fluvial swimming pool where you can go for a swim in safety. Covers the districts of Leiria and Castelo Branco, and its catchment area is 2340 km2. Is one of the tallest buildings in Portugal, the bridge of the dam with 136 meters high is located in the municipality of Pedrog„o Grande in the District of Leiria.
