This region is knonw cause of his montain chain but as also for his great food traditions. The cheese made here is, usually, considered the best in Portugal. There's also a singular type of dog's race that is natural from this region, the Serra da Estrela Dog.
If you come to Portugal, not in summer vacations time, you should try to visit this part of the country.
