From the archive of our 2010 Portugal trip:
View from Belmonte towards the Serra-de-Estrela, the highest mountains-ridge in Portugal.
The small local road that runs alongside the Rio-Ze'zere, leading the view towards Covilha built on the slopes of the ridge, can be seen on far left side.
Not seen on this photo, but the Rio Ze'zera is the second longest river in Portugal (the Mondego is the longest), and the only river flows from north to south Portugal, along the valley east of the Serra-de-Estrela.
