Photographer’s Note

This are the ruins of a Roman house at the city of Conimbriga. Here you can see the construction under the house that allow his owners to had his own sauna and bath. Behind the arch at the fg you see the place where the heat wa produce.

The city of Conimbriga is one of Europe's great Roman archaeological finds and one of the best preserved in the Iberian peninsula, is sixteen kilometers from Coimbra.

It was first a Celtic settlement in the Iron Age, but was occupied by the Romans in the 1st century A.D., who turned it into a prosperous city. It was destroyed during the barbarian invasions, when the Suevi attacked in 468 A.D.

Passionné d'architecture, j'apprécie grandement cette composition.
Les vestiges bénéficient d'un bel effet de perspective et l'on se rend bien compte de l'ordonnancement intérieur.
Une très belle prise. Sujet très intéressante.

Very impressive ruin. I can only imagine back in its glorious days, just how grand and magnificent this architecture would have looked like. Great texture and details of all this remained stone walls, even in a cloudy day like this. Good depth, good pov and composition.
