Photographer's Note

The small village of Piodao, for me "The end of the world", is unique for its stone houses and narrow streets.

Piodao is also the oldest inhabited village in Portugal and part of the county of Arganil. The trip that brings you there is every bit as interesting as the hamlet itself.

These ancient population centers, dating back before the establishment of the Portuguese nation, are characteristic of the Beiras region, in central Portugal.

Built on the slope of a mountain. It was classified as a national interest monument.
