Photographer’s Note

Atlantic Ocean, city of Figueira da Foz. In Figueira da Foz, the wide and blue sea has the mystery stories with names of fishes. And there are the round shaped dunes. And there are cliffs with strange forms given by the winds. From the sea we receive the secrets of other lands: there are sepia and blue-coloured Delft china tiles perhaps unloaded from a shipwreck, back in the days when the oceans seemed to be infinitely more mysterious and far-reaching.

o, to jest bardzo ciekawe...dobre wrażenie robi ta bryza "zamglając" scenerie i tworząc taką przedziwną atmosferę "przygnębienia"...niweleikei ławice piasku świadczą, iż nie jest to okres plażowania (co nota bene podkreśla odzież wędkujacego)...

Hello Mikolaj,
I like this minimalist composition of the lone angler in the surf, whose rod is mimicked by the crane derrick in the background. Excellent soft light and colours make a good background for the almost silhouetted figure. Very good photo work.

A tu ciekawie. Tak, ocean jest bardzo piêkny. Choæ powiem szczerze, ¿e ten w Moroku bardziej podoba³ mi siê ni¿ portugalski. Choæ oczywi¶cie to ten sam. Tam w Afryce by³o jako¶ bardziej dziko.

Witaj Mikołaju,

Ładny widok, wygląda nawet jak zimowy, a tam przecież nie ma zimy. Piasek ma taki dziwny kolor. I larttarnia na horyzoncie. Ładne zdjęcie.

At the first glance it looks like the man is fishing in a snowstorm, then the picture develops before my eyes. You have captured the colours and the haze perfectly, making the picture look a bit like a painting by Turner.
