Photographer’s Note
Hehehehe ;)
Well...following the mood on my "It´s a long way home" previous image, i decided to post one more just to increase the idea ;)))
What´s diferent here? :
1- the title - i was unsure about giving the name "scales" on my previous one...but i didn´t, so MUST have one with that ;)))
2- the main theme - not a litlle bug ;)) but a litlle green crab ;)) (both very cute i think :)
3- the background - not a granitic rock piece but billions of "almost microscopic" beach sand pieces
4- the scale sense - here you have a great size comparison element: the litlle beach sand pieces.
And that´s exactly this detail that makes this image matching more the "Scales" mood, in my opinion...how bigger is the world for them?? ;)
Sometimes i wish i could be able to have another perspective from the world, you know? And having a diferent size would turn it diferent for sure..;))) How would it be if i was a beach sand piece??? And if i had the size of a galaxy????
Hmmm...maybe i´m having some personality problems... ;)))))

Nice DoF on this green carb and nice colors too. Those sand grains are amazing. Well done!

Great shot marco. The grains are amazing, as it the litel crab. Really good light for this type of shot too, very natrual. And, the sence of scale is good to. Lovely shot.

Great capture Marco and the title fits very well. Very clever use of dof and handling of the light. Very nice job.

Sorry I am thick I do not get the Title!
The picture it`s self is very clear and sharp, even the millions of white sand grains are spot on, would of liked to see the front of the crab , but still its a good pic.

Well Marco, as far as being the size of a beach sand piece or a galaxy, I guess for the time being you'll have to put up with the fact that you are somewhere in-between ;-) This is a very nice follow-up to your earlier posting, with an excellent DOF and great crisp clarity on the crab and the sand. Nice limited color setting, and I like the diagonal orientation by which the guy seems to be headed for some unknown blurry destination. Good shot, indeed an original way to study "scale".

Ola Marco,
I like very much this nice crab and the very detailed and sharp grains, the dof is perfect too!
I see your image is only 84 Kb and the quality is very good, I lose a lot of quality compressing the photo from 5mp, how do you manage to obtain a result like this? ;)

We are in the month of Cancer, so this is a very appropriate picture, Marco. Dof is extreamly shallow, which isolates the crab well. I suggest you crop off the OOF top abobe the change in ground level to enhance your copoition and impact.

Thanks for sharing this fine capture and your philosofi :-)
Its funny to think about the very inside of the atom and the universe - may be theres some kind of connection between the micro, micro world and the macro, macro world - unknown for us ;-))

Nice sharpness, beautiful composition. My only criticism is the low range of colours. Because of this poverty in colour I think this would be better as a b/w pic. Cheers!

Excelente clareza nesta macro! Muito bons detalhes e excelent profundidade de campo. E quem te diz a ti que não vivemos num grão de areia de uma praia cosmica? A lua é capaz de ser apenas o calhau do lado... ;-)

Hi Marco, this is neat makro. I love the details of this creeping guy and the sand provides a vital sense of scale. As always you're note is very enjoyable and creative. Very fine job!
