Photographer's Note
I finally have my computer back again and I must confess I was missing you all already.
Today I'm posting a different photo. It's for Robert(rafid76), who asked me something like this when he saw my photo of the tiles in the University of Évora. I've not forgotten the University of Évora,I'll go there one of these days but today, as I was passing in this street of Coimbra I've decided to take some photos. It's funny because I pass there everyday and I had never taken any photos (I guess It's always like that). In this wall, situated in front of the market, we can find several panels of blue&white tiles representing the most important monuments in Coimbra. I've chosen this one, as it represents the most important monument of the city, the University of Coimbra, one of the oldest in Europe.I'm just sorry for the shadows of the wires for the trolleys.
It's also my homage to Coimbra, a city where I feel at home since the first day. Honestly, I don't know why I never post any photos of it. I guess I need to change that.

Ola Ana,
Interesting shot with azulejos as a main motif. I saw many of them in Lisbon and Porto. I haven't enough time to jump to Evora but I heard that there is a beautiful town.

Hi Ana,
Interesting image. I like the contrast between the pale colours of the wall and the girl dressed in black, between old and young, static and active...
However I noticed the image is a bit tilted, so I tried WS, including different crop. Hope you'll like it.

Hi Ana,
It is very interesting picture, and I would have guessed that it was Portugal even if there was no caption ;) Only in Portugal tiles can be this beautiful! The walking woman give it an interesting human touch and shows the perspective nicely, I also like the contrasting colors... I would, however, adjust the horizon with the bottom line of tiles, the woman would then look more like walking down but the tiles would tell a story better this way. But of course, it is probably just a personal preference.

Ola Ana,
Flavia

Olá Ana!
Bonita pintura no Azulejo!

Esquece as sombras. Quem sabe?

Hello Anabela. I like this picture. You have captured a nice slice of daily life. The person in the picture breaks the monochrome feel of the picture well and gives a reference point of interest and perspective.

Hello Ana,
I had not visited your gallery in sometime. When I saw another photo posted from Evora — Goncalo Lopes (bluejeans), I decided to visit your photos again, and I was so happy to find this beautiful photo. The composition is first rate, the exposure and colors are spectacular, the presence of the woman walking and located just at the right side of the tiles all work in concert to make the picture very special.
Happy New Year,
Bulent

Hello Ana
Blue and white seems to be the theme everywhere... I love that building it is so beautiful you must take pics of the real building too. The picture is very interesting in itself and full of contrasts.
and yes you do need to change that looking forward to many more photos of Coimbra

Hi Ana, thats how it goes, we see it so often that we don't 'see' it. Like this although I must admit I prefer the workshop by vedra as it holds the eye a little better. Keep shooting the things that you think might not interest people and you might find a few surprises such as here.
Happy New Year Ana,
best wishes,
Mark

Hola Anabela

Belo mosaico Ana,

Hello Anabela,
I had difficulty making my choice, you have so many fine images in your gallery but eventually I settled on this one because of the subject matter, so many tiles depicting such a fine building. Good contrast between the pale tiles and the dark clothes of the passing lady. The tilt doesn't bother me, I don't think it's actually level on the wall. I've never seen anything like it. A superb capture, well spotted.

Stephen

Dear Anabela,
Thanks for your interesting. I visited, your gallery your each photos in yours carried me to Portugal.
The picture on the wall is good but 'there can not be witness without human'. So your photo is both wonderful and good composition. You see. the women (human)on your photo also different and interesting dynamism
Please take care
