Photographer’s Note

Monsanto es una aldea de Portugal de la region de Beira.

Perteneciente a las "Aldeias históricas de Portugal" fue considerado como el pueblo mas portugues, su encanto medieval lo hace irrepetible, perderse por su calles laberinticas y subir a lo alto a contemplar la vista desde su castillo es una autentica experiencia.

Monsanto esta enclavado en la vertiente de una pequeña pero esxcarpada montaña, carasterizada por grandes moles de granito que muchas veces forman parte de las viviendas. En lo alto del monte asentado en moles graniticas se encuentra el imponente castillo de Monsanto ahora ya en estado de ruina, pero que aun conserva bien su muralla, patio de armas y torreones.

Monsanto is a village in Portugal in the region of Beira.

Belonging to the "Historic Villages of Portugal" was considered the most Portuguese people, their medieval charm makes it unique, missing by his labyrinthine streets and climb to the top to contemplate the view from his castle is an authentic experience.

Monsanto is nestled on the slopes of a small but esxcarpada mountain carasterizada by large moles granite that often are part of the housing. At the top of Mount settled in moles is the imposing granite castle Monsanto now in a state of ruin, but still retains his wall, ground and towers.

São três fotos bonitas mas esta é sem dúvida a melhor delas, tanto pela boa exposição que apresenta como pelas bonitas cores da bunganvília a preencher um boa parte da imagem. Gosto muito.

Hi Charo,
The beautiful lavendar flowers are seen in stark contrast to the old grey walls of this historic village.
The vivid blue sky and tranquil shadows are two fine additional elements to this beautiful image.

Hallo charo. Was für eine liebliche Ansicht. Der blühende Baum ist der Mittelpunkt des Bildes. Alles in diesem ruhigen Bild wirkt, als sei die Zeit zurückgestellt worden. Sehenswert und schön. viele Grüße, Wolfgang.

J'adore voir ces vieilles pierres taillées et ajustées malgré leurs diverses formes. Vraiment un très beau village. Un cadre de vie simple et heureuse. les couleurs sont harmonieuses, la photo est de qualité, les ws aussi. Bravo.

Cet arbre en fleur, tout rose-violet est mangigique, il va bien dans ce beau décor, ces belles maisons de vielles pierres, très bel ensemble, superbe.

bella scena rurale. Come penso avrai ben capito, le scene rurali, sono molto ben gradite a me.
Ottima anche la composizione con la piccola scala sulla sinistra, il bidone arrugginito e l'albero fiorito.

Hello Charo,
The presence of the flowering tree adds much to the mood and makes a fine contrast with the old grey stone walls as well providing some interesting shadow play. I like the point of view with the little street going up off to the right. Excellent light and colours, fine clarity.

Charo, interesting mix of old and not so old with the rusty barrel and the corrugated roof material. The workshops are also very nice, the #1 image is worth it's own post I think. Great color and detail as always.

Hola Charo!
Un pueblo muy pintoresco! Me gusta la composiciòn con las calles inclinadas, talladas en la roca.
la "bougainvillea" y el cielo azul dan un contrasto ottimo con la piedra gris. Tu foto me da ganas estar ahì, para gozar del paseo en el laberinto en pendiente, y de la vista desde el castillo.

questi scatti di architettura in pietra mi piacciono molto, forse perchè richiamano scorci simili a quelli della mia terra.
Qui l'inquadratura bassa è perfetta e la composizione molto gradevole.

this stone village of Portugal must be a very nice place to visit it someone.It reminds me villages in North of Greece that the houses are build with stones.I like the clear and clarity of the scene as the bougainvillea that decorate so pleasantly the photo.Well done.

Vaya se me paso esta imagen, que bonita perspectiva ese arbol rosado tengo una imagen de una iglesia de Tarifa que se parece lo mismo la publico mañana, me gusta mucho el contraste entre ese rosa y las piedras, buena perspectiva de ese pueblo tan peculiar, bonita luz, felicidades!
