Hi dear TE friends

Place : Castelo Novo, it is a Historical Village of Portugal

Region: Beira Baixa / Mountain of Gardunha (zone center of Portugal)

At this moment, workmanships occur in order to improve the conditions of life of its inhabitants and visitors. The photo shows the visual improvement made in the habitations.
Set in the superb amphitheatre formed by the Serra da Gardunha, Castelo Novo has some surprisingly beautiful manor houses that once belonged to the region's noble families.
Built in the 12th century but badly damaged by the earthquake in 1755, the castle was described as "new" (novo) because another one already existed in the immediate vicinity, having been abandoned because it was inadequate for the region's defence. This is how the village came to acquire the name of Castelo Novo,( New Castle).

So lovely composition. The way you've framed is really effective, the crop is perfectly seen to get a balanced image, and the quality is very good to appreciate much details.
These pink door and window are stunning in such a wall, but the whole is pretty.
You've got a great eye.

excellent shot, I like a lot how the detail of the house you have chosen to show illustrates the whole village. the colour combination is unusual, but I have to say it works very well, it's both elegant and cheerful. technically impeccable photo, very nice work.

This is nice, very nice. A very good eye in seeing and composing this with the old cobblestones and the purple colours from the little window and door. I'm impressed by that Kodak thing, the result looks great here on TE size...really good work, very creative.

Muito boa, Filipe. Até pensei que fosse de Monsanto, mas acho que não deve haver caixilhos cor de rosa por lá...Não deixa de ser uma cor intrigante e ao mesmo tempo atraente. Não será de origem mas sim parte do projecto de renovação. Seja como for é um belo pormenor de mais uma vila que não conheço. 3 posts teus e 3 do Luís Afonso. Bem merece uma maior representação no TE. Acho muita piada às texturas da rua e da parede parecerem quase misturar-se num mesmo plano.

it is a nice colour spot composition with good textures even the light seems to be difficult. I am not sure what is above the part you show us, because I think this asks for a square format where the missing part should be a the top.

Fine details of this overall impression of stones and strong colours in the old village. Could be the photo is little too much sharpened filipe (see all the pricks/dots in the stone).

Olá Filipe,
Grafismo, cor, textura... Soubeste usar esses elementos tão importantes de forma magistral. Esta é daquelas que não me admirava de ver roubada, pois fica a matar em tudo quanto seja coisa relacionada com turismo.
Se há coisa que não domino, muito menos de forma racional e calculada, é saber quais as "melhores" combinações de cores, mas gosto imenso desta mistura, que me parece muito original, de cinzento esverdeado com rosa.

É uma foto muito bonita na qual a parede da casa quase parece ser a continuação do chão da rua. A camuflagem estaria perfeita se a cor da porta e da janela não fosse tão exuberante. Fica bonito e dá alegria mas está certamente fora do aspecto original da aldeia.

Muito bonita, esta! Por acaso, até acho que tenho uma foto desta porta, que por sinal ficou uma porcaria. Se bem me lembro, esta aldeia também não é muito fácil porque tem muitos fios.
Gosto da composição com a porta e a janela coloridas, a textura do granito esverdeado. Muito bem conseguida!

Dias atrás alguém publicou uma foto de uma casa cor-de-rosa denominando-a "casa da barbie". A sua bem poderia ser a da "pantera cor-de-rosa".. ;-D
Gosto muito dos detalhes da fachada, em especial a textura das pedras que contrastam muito bem com os detalhes em rosa. Muito boa foto!

Very good texture of the stone walls and floor to provide a good contrast to the strong color of the door/window and a bit of the cover.

Nicely framed with good placement of the door and window at least to draw attention to each side. Interesting to see brown patches on the stone wall and metal plate. tfs

The texture on facade is splendid while pink colored window and door making your frame's value at least double. Mossy ground fantastic and so compatible with facade. Very clever view captured in perfect quality.

Olá Filipe, como é que estás?
Quando abri a foto sem olher para a localidade pensei que fosse outra de Monsanto mas vejo que não, e mais uma vez nos trazes uma pequena pérola do nosso interior.
Estas paredes de pedra são realmente uma maravilha para quem gosta de fotografia e quando se lhes junta portas e janelas coloridas ainda mais, mesmo que a cor seja um pouco 'barbie' :)
Espero que tenhas mais destas para mostrar pois estes locais muitas vezes esquecidos merecem, sem dúvida, serem lembrados.
