O CRUZEIRO, a photo from Castelo Branco, North

Photographer's Note

This cross is from 16th century and it is located in front this square, few meters far from the gardens I showed you these last days. I was very lucky, some minutes before it was raining and suddenly the rain was over.

Este cruzeiro é do século 16 e está localizado diante desta praça, não longe dos jardins que mostrei nos últimos dias. Eu estava com sorte, alguns minutos antes estava chovendo e repentinamente o céu se abriu.

La struttura di questo crocefisso è molto interessante, mi piace il modo in cui l'hai collocato sulla scena, un po' decentrato, e lasciando spazio alla fila di case.
Molto buona la luce ed i colori, eccellente la qualità.

Jorge - the cross makes a wonderful subject for this street scene. The houses, clouds, and lines all lead the eye through the shot well, and I like the inclusion of that splash of color in the bush at right.

Olá Jorge, outra bela imagem de Portugal. Gosto muito dessa cruz em primeiro plano. O Casario ao fundo, metade restaurado e metade precisando de reformas. Gosto do calçamento bonito e bem limpo (essa limpeza é geral na Europa, ou apenas em algumas cidades?)

Hello Jorge,

The most noticeable thing is those beautiful buildings captured diagonally. I love the colors, sharpness and architecture. Nice monument of the cross with spiral carving on the column give a good contrast. I see the day has become brighter with lovely blue sky.
