Abandoned train station Photo

Photographer’s Note

Following my travelogue, this is one of the many abandoned stations in Douro river region, that i have told you in my 2 previous fotos...each one with their own history to tell, and particular details.

I was told that there are a few abandoned stations that is worth to visit cause of its beauty...next visit to the region i will try to bring some :)

Meanwhile this particular one is from Carviçais (as you can see in the identification on the house), a litlle village in this region, still a few km from Douro river! As you can see it even has no rails anymore...in its place is a green field of grass!
On 1st plan you can see the building where in the past you could take your ticket and where traffic was controled in this stop. After the station you can still see the old reservoir from the Steam trains ages!

Bom documento, mas a foto podia estar mais bem tratada.Tem imensos pontos de sujidade
e a luz não é a melhor.

Une bonne image N/B avec un très joli piqué vers le bâtiment qui donne une belle perspective vue de cet angle.
L'entrée du bâtiment se tient sur une place maîtresse dans votre image

Realmente como o amen referiu, podias ter cuidado melhor da imagem.
Tal como antes, a escolha de Preto/Branco foi muito boa!! Alguns pontos pretos deveriam ser mais claros.

very effective B&W photo. The choice of B&W accentuates the desolation. Like the low perspective too. Nice theme! keep up the good work!

Very good image.
The feeling of emptiness and abandonment dominate your emotions giving a bitter taste.

I would like to see less grass in the foreground and instead a little more of what used to bee the rails (they were gone right?) But the contrasts of this picture is great!
