...I am a Barrosã cow.Do not be afraid i am harmless.
"The Race Barroso is considered emblematic of a reference Portuguese bonivicultura. Inhabitants of the ancient uplands of northern Portugal, the cattle barrosãos have a unique genetic heritage. The race presents morphology and history-rolling very peculiar, and still difficult to proceed with its environment within the remaining Iberian breeds.
This race was in danger of extinction after having been subjected to indiscriminate crossings in the sixties and seventies. To halt their disappearance several measures of protection were adopted, including the Registry Zootechnics started in 1981. In 2002, the number of animals there was recorded around 7300. The Register Zootechnics beyond control to allow the preservation of a single race, is fundamental to the study of it. This is due to the fact that it is necessary to further research on the genetic structure of populations to clarify many questions that remain unanswered.

belo pov, a vaca cornuda está muito bem mostrada. Creio que deve descender daquelas mesmas vacas das cavernas que a gente vê pintadas na França e na espanha e até nos relevos de foz coa. Aqui temos um gado cornudo destes, herança dos tempos da colonização e que está sendo preservado também pois estava à beira da extinção, os rebanhos ficam nas serras gaúchas e se assemelham bem com esta vaca. Se o céu estivesse azulão a foto seria ainda mais bela do que já é, o animal parece posar e os chifrões e os arames até criam linhas interessantes na compo
