MAGNOLIA

Well I look at the window...and I decided not to upload any image from Italy... today:

Saucer magnolia or Japanese magnolia is a multi-stemmed, spreading tree with large, fuzzy, green flower buds carried through the winter at the tips of brittle branches.

These buds are opening right now in some areas and will continue blooming to early spring.

Often the blooms show before the leaves, producing large, white flowers shaded in pink, creating a spectacular flower display.

You should start seeing them about now in warmer climates...like in Portugal.

This shot was fired at my backyard…

Hello Rui,
great photo, amazing colors and superb focus.. I like the wather drops. In Poland we have nice weather also but it is too soon for flowers...

Wonderful, Rui. No magnolias out, here, yet.
Snowdrops are fading now, some irises are past. We have daffodils in flower, and crocuses, but the storm we've had today is battering them (high-sided lorries were blown over yesterday on some roads).
