Photographer’s Note
This the rear view (north side) of the VIII century church, The north side is less exposed to the sun than the alçado sul - south front view and the humidity in the walls is perhaps the principal factor that acelerates the oxidation of the granitic blocks.
p.s.
The CYCLIST is carrying fresh borecoles, probally to cook the famous regional soup of the region "caldo verde" :)

Rui,
I reallylike this image. Having a cyclist in there gives good movement to the shot. Also, the small stone wall at the bottom right adds depth and perspective. Nice warm colors on a cloudy day ! Richard

Hi Rui
What an interesting piece of architecture and so old! More than 1200 years old and still standing, and still strong. I guess that some ornaments where added later but the construction is really amazing. And the guy on the bike added the perspective giving a size of the building. Thanks for this photo
cheers

Rui,
Realmente um lindo lugar você fotografou. O ciclista dá um lindo conjunto com as paredes de pedra para essa sua linda composição.
Um abraço
Paulo
