VINHO VERDE

With justified reasons, the Vinho Verde may be considered a direct product, naturally created from the regional conditions and without technological artefacts.

With the joining of European Union and in a careful anticipation, it was foreseen a possible enrichment through the use of concentrated must and/or concentrated and rectified must which, regarding the authenticity concept, can only be accepted if it originates from the Vinho Verde Demarcated region.

But the main improvement of wines has to start in the vineyards, through its wise implantation, through a sensible choice of the best grape varieties in each specific case, through a careful cultivation and a good knowledge of the technology employed.

The Vinho Verde is one of, if not the unique, wine’s which grapes are cultivated above the ground in mild stayed steel wires about 3 meters supported by granite slender small columns.

Rui,
Você está mostrando uma parte interessante da história de Portugal. A nota e a foto são complementares nessa linda composição. O pai de minha mulher, que é de Portugal, nunca conseguiu se afastar dos vinhos da terra.

Abraço

Paulo

The colors are superb.
Unfortunately there is excessive jpeg compression seen at the borders of objects - did you try to push the quality up to the 200KB limit?
The granite pillar position is perfect!
Greetings,
Francisco

Hi Rui,

Wonderful colours and lighting. A really great idea to let the stone post and the grapevine dominate the picture. Also a really good POV. Back luck though when you have such a good DOF that you did not take the photo from an even lower POV. Then the viney yard buildings in the background would
not have been hidden behind the grapevine. However, I realise that this might not have been possible since you have a stone wall or something in the foreground. Have a nice week-end!

Cheers,

Ulf

Hello Rui,
Un très bon point de vue sur ces vignes et jolies couleurs de l’ensemble.
Bien à toi et à bientôt,
Robert

Rui, a sua nota realmente explica bem a foto. Eu teria gostado da imagem muito mais com alguns cachos de uva pendurados ...

I find I like the granit pillar best in the picture, although the vine in the foreground and the vineyard in the background are very sharp. But I should also compliment you for the adequacy between the note and the image, since it allows to undertand why you took that close up of the vine attached to the steel wire.

All the best,

Emmanuel
