| This was taken in the nice city of Aveiro, which lies on the West coast in the Central Region of Portugal, somewhere between Coimbra and Porto. It opens to a formidable ria, the famous Aveiro Ria. A ria is normally a disproportionate big estuary for the size of the river, formed by the rising see level or sinking of the land, which causes the flooding of the valleys. |
