Photographer’s Note

Church of the Misericordia (Igreja da Misericordia) in the city of Aveiro, builted from the end of the XVI century and middle of the XVII century. Inside tiles (azulejos) from XVII century inside and outside tiles from the XIX century. Interesting carved and gilded wood stall, Dom Jose style. This Church stands at the Square of the Republic (Praca da Republica) opposite the Town Hall (Camara Municipal).

Hello Mikolaj,

The contrast created by the blue tiles is pretty. I think the facade is simple yet different because of the tiles. Good frontal approach to this facade. Details are still there though there is a yellow tinge on the image. Good work Mikolaj.

Piekny kosciolek, bardzo ciekawe te plytki, ktorymi wylozona jest fasada. Smieszne rachityczne drzewko, niesamowity bruk, niebo z lekka przymglone, robi dosc nierealne wrazenie. Przed kosciolem zywego ducha, to tez robi wrazenie.

Patrzac na to zdjecie od strony technicznej musze przyznac, ze szumu nie widac nic ze skanu. Kosciol sam w sobie bardzo urokliwy. Podobaja mi sie rowniez takie podniszczone tekstury scian, jak ta po prawej. Swietna kompozycja- ciasna, ale skupiajaca sie na glownym temacie.

Witaj, Wolałam starą wersję, tutaj wszystko to razem wyszło jakies smutne. Niezbyt mi się podoba. Mnie Aveiro kojarzy sie ze słońcem, kolorem, ale może trafiłam na lepsza pogodę.
Też ten dziwny portugalski krzyz z małą cześcią górną. Mógłbyś kiedys pokazac jakieś wnętrze, tu było bardzo ciekawe.

Fajne dziwne swiatlo, takie troche niejednoznaczne, zagadkowe. Sama budowla tez niczegowata, fajnie sfotografowana. Dobra ostrosc. Skan porzadnej jakosci.

like a view on the water, this tone of blue is graceful.
I especially like blue tiles of wall, these artistic taste is touching,
and blue circles on the fore ground are like water surface.
of course, Greek style columns are nice, and framing blue tiles.
a little dark light makes calm ambience, it fits this beautiful church.
