Photographer’s Note
These traditional boats of 'Ria de Aveiro' (this is how the lagoon and its channels that crosses the city of Aveiro is called) have nowadays mainly turistic purposes.
These boats are called 'moliceiros' and originally they were used to pick up weeds (called moliço), that later would be a fertilizer to agriculture.
Aveiro is called 'the portuguese Venice' and this is a picture of Ria de Aveiro main channel.
