Again, Aveiro city, river, Moliceiro boat and small bridges with flowers

Most of the Aveiro District is located under 100m high with a wide Atlantic coast (about 40 km length) on the south side of the district. The higher places on the district are on the western and northern part with the Caramulo and Arada mountain ranges, and on the north east side the Montemuro mountain range.
Origin of the name: “Aveiro” means a place full with birds, meaning that this area has been chosen all over the centuries by a large community of birds to live in.

Description
The wide coast in this area has drawn the way of living of the populations: the colours of the river, of the sand, and the proper traditional boats (moliceiros), costumes and gastronomy. The ocean has offered its heritage all over the centuries and the Aveiro district has done its best to preserve it.

Gastronomy
Based mainly on sea food as main dishes, prepared in a variety of techniques and ways. The symbol of the town of Aveiro, the ovos moles (literally meaning soft eggs), is a very sweet egg cream, an heritage of the medieval convents and monasteries in the area, where the nuns used to bake sweets and cakes with the products of the region

Bonito reflejo. Seguro que no es un sitio tan bonito (para mi) como Venecia, pero tiene pinta de que se le acerca.

Another view of Aveiro, this time with a piece of modern architecture and a moliceiro boat packed with tourists. Nice bridge with many flowers. Water has a strange chocolate colour.

It's a very handsome composition.
I like the horizontal curve ofthe bridge.
It's a good idea to include the reflection on the glasspane of the opposite silhouette.

Ola Aires, também gostei muito desta. Bonitas cores. Até dá para ver o reflexo de uma igreja no edifício espelhado. Foi pena ficar tão escuro no barco quando passou por baixo da ponte. Mas não há nada que possas fazer. De resto até é capaz de ficar bem, já que a parte da frente realça a sombra da ponte.

Aires,
Nice composition using the river to lead the eye through the shot. The boat gives the shot a nice sense of direction. The bridge helps frame the boat helping to focus our attention to the boat. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

Une autre belle vue du canal avec le bateau chargé à pleine capacité et comme dans les Caraïbes j'imagine, les passagers sont sans ceinture de sauvetage. Le pont avec la rampe bordée de fleurs est magnifique. Bel éclairage et superbes couleurs,

Splendid choice with this wonderful image.
The building is not as in Venice, but the bridge and boat are absolutely as in Venice .
Excellent depth and perspective.

it's an interesting and colourful scene :)I really very much like the contrast lighting - the deep contrast creates a good depth in the photo. And the bright colours emphasize the sunny day. Very good POV! and the boat is close enough for the photographer to create a perfect balance ;)
I wish I could take a walk along, there.... :)

i have a friend from aveiro (and he is an ornithologist, no surprise), but havent managed to visit him yet.. i didnt know there were canals out there to make tours in gondolas... a good presentation this is aires, of what aveiro has to offer... all the best... korkut

linda vista de aveiro, já passei por lá umas vezes, sempre às pressas, nunca pude apreciar nada com jeito. muito bela esta sua vista com o canal, as cosntr. e o barco típico. belo pov , cores, luz e tudo mais
