The Port of Funchal

"The Port of Funchal is situated in a magnificent bay framed by the clear blue of the sea, the city of Funchal and the green of the mountains of Madeira Island. Situated at 15 minutes on foot from the city centre, the Port of Funchal is also the departure point for the discovery of the Island of Madeira.
Funchal is its capital city and in the 741 square kilometres of the Island of Madeira you will have lots to discover. With 2/3 of its territory considered protected forest area, Madeira is a green jewel in the Atlantic Ocean. Its Laurissilva forest is recognised by the UN as a World Heritage Site.

Interessante. Parece o mesmo porto que eu visitei pela última vez em 1971 quando por lá passei a bordo do Príncipe Perfeito a caminho de Luanda. Nessa altura, andar de avião ainda não era muito comum e eu fiz várias viagens de barco entre Angola e Portugal.

Olá Isa,
Esta foi a minha primeira vista do Funchal, há mais de 20 anos, mas não foi num navio destes (nem estava lá nenhum destes).
