Farol dos Capelinhos (Capelinhos Lighthouse)

The Capelinhos (from Capelo + -inhos diminutive, which literally means "little Capelos" or the "little cape") is a volcano located on the western coast of the island of Faial in the Azores.
The volcano is a landmark on Faial; its ruined lighthouse and the fantastic (!) Visitors Center (which lies along the cliff from the volcano) is a great place to visit.
This is a picture of the stair to the top of the lighthouse.

Hi Kris. Very nice and simple composition. The stairs almost seem to continue forever as we follow the red line through the spiral. I like the way you placed the baton, because it has to be somewhere, and then it's smart to let it come in from a corner. I also like these simple pictures with few colours. TFS.

this is an unusual angle you took here. well framing. i like this colorful handrail here, it is leading us to the far background. good light management as well.

bonjour,
que c'est bien vu et surtout tres bien fait.
avec cette rampe rouge ,on se sent entrainer comme par un tourbillon vers le centre (et le fond) de cette photo...une spirale enivrante!!
