Photographer’s Note
It had rained all day on and off and the sky was uncooperative. This is used to bring water to the field I liked how it stood out against the greenery. One of my favorite things about Sao Miguel (were I was born) is the constant proximity to the ocean. If you look carefully beyond the trees you can see a sliver of darker blue, that's the ocean.

I see the ocean out there, Cristina. It doesn't have an ocean side look to it so it's a beautiful mix of a more mountain setting and an ocean setting. The colors in this shot are beautiful. That drew me immediately. The rusted tank stands out beautifully against the greenery. And I think the sky works nicely here making the colors seem to have more of an oomph in the grey. Great textures, too. Perhaps another point of view would have captured it more dynamically but then perhaps a more dynamic angle would lose the sliver of sea. You certainly captured the colors beautifully, though.

You've found some nice light here, Cristina! I would be tempted to shoot this with the object in one of the corners--on a 'third.' I really enjoy the textures and colors found here. Wonderful exposure and capture of light.
