Situated in the Atlantic Ocean, 760 nautical miles of the European continent and 2110 miles of North America, the archipelago of the Azores emerged from the depths of the sea there thousands of years, following a violent volcanic eruptions leaving throughout the island where small craters is the traditional stew of S. Miguel.
It is the maoir island of the archipelago with 759.4 square qulimetros of supreficie, 65 long and 16 wide maxima the Furnas are the "ex-libris" of the island.
