Photographer’s Note

This is the Church of Alto da Mãe de Deus. Dating from the 19th century, it's situated on a high point, in the centre of Ponta Deldada,in S. Miguel Island. It's a great place to enjoy the view all around. Besides, the church is also very nice. I've been there at sunset and I've taken a few photos because I liked the light on the facade.

Ana,
This is a fine Papagolfade for this great Sunday. The angle of the shot is great giving the scene nice depth and direction. The bare trees set the mood of autumn. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The deep blue sky provides a nice backdrop for the shot.

Fantastic, borders of church painted in brown color are match with the color of withered trees, nice to see soft sunlight shining and create long shadows, beautiful blue sky, detail to show structure and artistic pattern of the church, good pov, distinct image, good shoot.

Muito linda esta igreja. O trabalho na pedra é maravilhoso e é bastante diferente daquilo que se vê nas igrejas do norte de Portugal. A tua foto ficou excelente com uma luz de fim de tarde muito boa e criar cores lindíssimas. As longas sombras são também um bom elemento. Gosto muito.

I really like this one! A good shooting angle on the church which stands out well against the blue sky. The trees made for a good starting point and their kind of brown color reminds the one of the church! Light is great too!

uma das igrejas mais bonitas que você já postou no TE, a meu ver.
Gostei dos detalhes que contornam as paredes, das árvores muito exóticas ao seu redor, da boa luminosidade oferecida pelo Sol e ainda da nuvem bem "pesada" ao fundo.

This is an interesting church design, seems like the architect was inspired by the trees!
Attractive light and the point of view allows the entire structure to be exposed against the sky...

Não há dúvida que tem um ar muito diferente das alentejanas, mas é muito bonita, com um certo tom altivo. Aproveitaste muito bem aquele sol mortiço de Outono. Como é hábito, excelente enquadramento, nitidez e cores.
Parece-me que a convergência está ligeiramente invertida, ie, está mais larga em cima do que em baixo. Mas não é nada de grave!

Esta está fabulosa, Anabela. Lembro-me deste tipo de igrejas quando visitei os açores há tantos anos atrás. Esta pedra escura cria uma imagem de fortes contrastes. Parece-me que apanhaste umas condições de luz perfeitas e as cores estão fantásticas. Gosto do pormenor da sombra da árvore na esquina da igreja.
