Photographer’s Note

Here's another photo of Ponta Delgada, in São Miguel Island. It was taken on the same day and the mountain we see in the background is the same I've show in the other photos. Only this time I've taken it from the top of a small hill that exists in the centre of the city, where there is a church devoted to God's Mother. I've included a part of the new part of the city.

A well framed scenery, and the fine light adds warmth to the view!
Good point of view and a very attractive sky with fine cloud formations...

Olá Anabela, a vista de prédios novos até nem é muito bonita, mas a tua foto ficou linda, pelas cores e luz que apresenta. Gosto da paisagem lá atrás com as nuvens a poisarem suavemente na montanha. Excelente miradouro.

Hello Ana.
Very nice panorama, with excellent light falling on the town's buildings, and a great sky with that huge cloud over the mountain. Well composed so that the sky has 2/3 of the picture. Clarity and detail are very good. This town looks like a pleasant place to be, basking in the afternoon light.

lovely light and shadow over the houses and good contrasts in the sky behind. I like those heavy clouds telling of rain and with the wide view from a higher POV also the ocean included, nice capture.

Belo conjunto de nuvens sobre as montanhas.
A parte da cidade não é tão atraente, mas a foto mostra a dualidade urbana e rural da ilha.
